Cole's 4th Birthday!

Late-August, we headed to Monkey Joe's to celebrate Cole's 4th Birthday - so fun! Tim got to say hello to Monkey Joe too:)

Heading West...

August 2nd, Tim and I headed out west!  Tim Rose was getting married and Tim was a groomsman.  We decided to make a trip out of it, so we went for a whole week. Afterwards, Tim stayed out west! He drove to Albequerque, then to Phoenix to see Gavin.  Then to the Grand Canyon...then to Moab..then through some ski towns, then to Grand Junction, CO..then back home.  In Colorado we stayed in a cabin owned by a family we met on the China tour, Joe & Gina. They live outside Denver, and their cabin was about an hour away. It was a beautiful get away and they had lots of good recs for hikes. We went to Boulder and hiked there, and saw Darden classmate, Seth and his wife Jenny and their new baby Danby. After a couple of days by ourselves, we met up with the wedding crew in Denver for a Rockies game. Then to Colorado Springs (staying at my friends Trent & Jen's place). The wedding was beautiful and fun. The guys hung out during the day and the gals went on hikes and to the zoo. It was fun!!!

Other highlights from this week....

Wednesday night we had a wonderful dinner with two of Tim's friends, Liz & Colin. They were so fun to meet after Tim raving about them. Colin is trying to decide between law school and business school (duh!) and it was interesting to hear about Liz's job at the Post.

Saturday night - Ankit & Courtney's going away party/bar crawl in Adams Morgan...pictures coming soon....

Sunday night - Jack & Carol came over for lasagna and to see the new place. It was fun to see them and then we walked over to get ice cream at Cold Stone Creamery. A fun night and great way to start the week!

Here's a "before" shot of Tim and I as we headed out this morning for a long bike ride around Alexandria and Arlington. It was very scenic, not too crowded and we beat the heat by going really early. Fun times....

Nat starts earning an income after 2 yrs & 7 months - yahoo!

So I started work this week! It's at a small design-thinking based consulting firm that focuses on services innovation (got all that?! I barely do!). It's been fun. Here's a picture of me before I left for my first day (don't worry, those flip flops are my commuting shoes).

We went to Richmond to hang out with ABCDE (Ali, Bob, Cole, Dean & Emmett!) Bob & Tim went to a minor league baseball game (the Richmond Flying Squirrels/Rhinos?) and Ali and I hung out with the kids and then just the 2 of us.
